Workplace Solutions

The Dyslexia Matters Workplace Consultation & Support Service is available for all types of organisations – corporate, blue collar, governmental, etc.

Workplace Solutions

Dyslexia is complex and it does not present as a single, neat paragraph of attributes which can be quickly resolved by providing basic solutions.  It is important to have guidance from an expert that truly understands the dyslexic way of thinking, so that reasonable adjustments that are put in place do actually support the employee and lead to effective resolution.

The Dyslexia Matters Workplace Consultation & Support Service is available for all types of organisations – corporate, blue collar, governmental, etc.  The main objective of this consulting service is to provide a win-win outcome for both the employer and the employee that results in a more equitable workplace and a happier and productive employee.

The process is done in three stages:

  1. 1
Assessment Interviews:  Private and confidential interviews are conducted with the employer, the employee, and their colleagues (if appropriate), to obtain an understanding of the needs and expectations of all parties.
  2. 2
Observation:  This is followed up with a thorough observation of the employee’s work activities, their capabilities, and their current productivity levels.
  3. 3
Recommendations & Implementation:  Recommendations are then put forward to the employee and the employer.  Assistance in implementation of these recommendations is provided, where appropriate.  Ongoing support is available for a period thereafter, to ensure that the new ways of operating are successful.

Amanda helped me take away all of the stigma around dyslexia and having a learning disability and I am SO inspired after doing this program that I have a NEW goal, which is to become an ambassador for dyslexia. I am now loud and proud to say I am dyslexic, I have no shame or embarrassment and I feel that learning this will be one of my greatest gifts as I have also discovered many of my untapped talents along the way.
